From the Latin “Duke”
The Dukes of Acquaviva were one of the seven most important noble lineages of the Kingdom of Naples, establishing one of their capitals in Atri at the end of the 12th century, bringing splendor and prosperity to the region.

Ducalis narrates the majestic entrance of the duke as he prepares to attend an elegant banquet.

BEHIND THE NOTES
Elegant and dry from the very beginning, it presents a floral-woody blend enriched with dark shadows and spicy touches. Gradually, it reveals an intricate structure: sweet, waxy, slightly metallic flowers; warm and balsamic woods, yet also austere and dry.

The flowers travel from the darkness of rose and jasmine to the pale tones of lily of the valley and cyclamen.

The woods extend from sandalwood (juicy, sweet, luminous, and comforting) to darker and drier woods like rosewood and cedar, gaining additional depth thanks to clove, leather, and nutmeg. A touch of amber and vanilla brings a rounded, warm, and velvety sweetness.

Ducalis may also appeal to oud lovers, offering a more occidentalized interpretation of this note.
